Introduction

While not directly related to Holocaust historiography, the subject of Hitler's lineage does arise from time to time, usually with the claim that Hitler was at least partly of Jewish descent. As this material should make clear, there is no evidence to support this claim, although it's difficult ot understand what difference it would make one way or the other.

This information comes from an early draft of Alfred Konder's book, Die Ahnentafels des Führers. To get the latest and best information on this subject, refer to his book, Adolf Hitler's Family Tree: The untold story of the Hitler family (second edition).

The Holocaust Historiography Project presents this information here because it is not easy to find anywhere else. We don't really care about Adolf Hitler, except to the extent that he was involved in "the Holocaust."
